Before you make a decision on buying TV, you need to know that plasma and LCD are not the or nearly the same thing, they both have very distinct strengths and weaknesses.

As a rule, a plasma TVs display higher contrast and track movement better, while LCDs show a brighter picture at the expense of smoother movement tracking and contrast. Unlike LCDs, plasma models still suffer from screen burn, which leaves persistent marks on your screen if you have static images displayed for extended periods of time. On the up side, plasma TVs tend to be larger and wider than equivalent LCD variations.
So when looking at plasma TVs in a store or online, do not think that just because the TV has a wide screen it will automatically have the picture quality you seek. And remember that price and brand are not the determinative factors to picture quality. There have been cases that cheaper models outperforming their expensive counterparts.

Which is the smallest MP3 player that you¡¯ve come across? Most people would say the iPod shuffle, while others will rememeber of the MobiBLU Cube fondly. Well, the Micro Sport Japanese MP3 Player clearly lives up to its name, redefining the word ¡°tiny¡± and bringing it to new heights (or should we say, size?)
The Micro Sport Player is two sugar cubes worth of electronics into which somehow is crammed 4GB of memory and a rechargeable battery. Amazingly this tiny player features full stereo sound. One earbud is attached directly to the side of the main unit, while the other earbud trails on a cord around the back of your head, just reaching the opposite ear. Loading music is incredibly easy. Simply plug the Micro Sport into the USB port of your computer. It mounts like a USB thumb drive, and you simply copy over any MP3 files you want to play.
ThinkGeek is carrying it for $89.99 ¨C pretty hefty price considering the paltry amount of storage space that you get, but at least you know your money went into the miniaturization of things.

This ain't no ordinary hat, and as the cold chill of winter descends, why not get the Light & Sound Hat to not only keep you warm, but make you cool as well?
It can be connected to your iPod or other compatible MP3/MP4 players, cellphones, or musical playback devices in order to let its amplified speakers get to work. The EQ panels located on the sides will analyze the beat patterns and pulse along in tandem, transforming you into a walking, talking, breathing musical light show. Seems to be out of stock at the moment though for this USB-rechargeable product, but keep ?9.99 in hand just in case it is made available again.

View TVs critically in the store TVs are usually set to Vivid or Dynamic mode, which pumps up brightness and color to a level that looks great under fluorescent lights but unnatural in a typical home. In addition, stores often display sports programs, which tend to have super-bright lighting and vivid colors that minimize any flaws in the picture. Ideally, you could ask a salesperson to reset a TV to Normal or Standard mode, but most retailers won't allow this. See if they'll tune in programming with typical indoor scenes (including people, if possible, so you can evaluate skin tones). With an LCD, look at the set from the side, not just head on, to judge the viewing angle. If possible, vary your vertical position too so that you can judge how it looks when you are sitting and standing. With most LCDs, you'll notice that the picture quality deteriorates as you move away from the center, but we've found considerable variation among brands and models, so check carefully. Our TV tests are based on settings that you would use at home, with content that reveals the strengths and weaknesses of a given set, so that you can use our Ratings to get an accurate assessment of picture quality.

When Apple announced video capability in the iPod Nano and a video camcorder in the iPhone 3Gs, Cisco saw a dramatic increase in YouTube video uploads. And as such, they saw the handwriting on the wall. Sure, the Flip has the edge with HD, but to have an all in one solution with the iPhone has forced Cisco, the new owners of Flip Video, to get working on a response. And to that end, they¡¯ve announced that the next model of the phenomenally successful Flip Video Pocket Camcorders will come with built in Wi-Fi. But that¡¯s not all.
In addition to being able to transfer video wirelessly, new Flip models will also have double the onboard memory (although they should just bite the bullet and put in an SD card already) a larger screen which will slide up to reveal control buttons, and have the capability to not only upload to YouTube, but also direct Facebook uploads via the wireless connection.
The first model to get the Wi-Fi overhaul will probably be the MinoHD line and rumor has it we¡¯ll see an actual mockup of it at CES this January.
You know, I rather like a feature war between Cisco and Apple brewing. It only means that the consumer will be the ultimate winners. Who knows, maybe we¡¯ll see a new iPhone with HD capability ¡

a little preview on incoming holidays
Times are tough. We¡¯ve all been effected in some way by the ever changing (and not for the better) economy. Jobs have been lost, pay has been cut and expenses have risen. As you approach the holidays, make sure to have a plan to help save the post-holiday surprise bills. Many families are making a point of doing a cash only holiday. This helps eliminate overspending and tough Januarys. Having a debt-free holiday takes sacrifice and determination but it can be done. The payoff is a January free from big holiday credit card bills.
Stress is part of every parent¡¯s life, especially life with a rambunctious toddler. However, the holidays can add much more stress to the equation. It¡¯s important to find ways to mitigate your stress to make sure you can enjoy this time with your family. Remember, the holidays are about your faith, family and tradition. Make sure that¡¯s where your focus is. Make time for yourself. Exercise is an important part of managing stress during the holidays; continue your routine. Focus your attention on what the holidays mean to you and your family.
Remember that holidays are about making memories for you and your family. Your children will look back fondly on this time and not because of the amount you spent on their gift or how perfect their dress was, but because as a family you enjoyed each other.
